EMBED operates in partnership with state health departments, addressing mosquito-borne disease threats in both urban and rural settings across four states. It features targeted urban interventions in densely populated districts and slums, utilizing door-to-door awareness campaigns, larval surveys, and health education to enhance disease prevention and encourage early medical intervention.

In rural areas, the initiative focuses on educating villages at high risk of malaria, promoting the elimination of mosquito breeding sites and facilitating access to diagnosis and treatment through Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA).

This comprehensive, multi-state approach aims to reduce the prevalence of mosquito-borne diseases significantly, thereby enhancing public health and providing a scalable model for disease prevention initiatives.
